Ew, today

I arrived at college to find I’d forgotten my keys so I could neither lock my bike or open my locker. I had to cycle home & back again in about forty minutes [which is highly impressive] & was so worn out. Then I found out I had to do fitness thing first period: circuit training :|

Then got loads of homework.

I’ve got a driving lesson later too. Yesterday didn’t go so well because I was so stressed & I today isn’t looking much better. I’ve got my test to-flippin’-morrow too D:

TMI Tuesday

Had an alright day today. Got lots of work done [although no art, eek]. Cycling in the snow is rather dangerous, but also thrilling. Didn’t fall off once in about an hour & a half of cycling today to & from college. Well, I did do this jump off my bike but I landed on my feet :P

Currently tidying my room for the first time in about a month [I can see the floor!], playing GT5 in B-spec mode, listening to French hip hop, wearing a hat which really doesn’t suit me & realising it’s TMI Tuesday.

Ask me stuff, yeah?

Every waking hour

Of today, it has rained.

Considering I went to bed at one this morning, got up at seven & it’s getting on for midnight, that’s eighteen hours of non-stop rain.

It’s not even just drizzle, it’s been pretty substantial rain. I haven’t even left the house once today because of it. I wanted to go for a cycle today too. Darn weather, ruining my plans.

I won’t deny

That I’ve changed my cycle route home just because I found a way which goes past some cake factory or something, it smells so nice & chocolatey.

It’s not suspicious

To go for a cycle in the evenings. At all. Despite whatever my mother & brother think I’m out doing.

It’s the best time of day for it. There’s not many cars out, it’s quiet, it’s nice & cool too. It gives me a chance to do some long exposure photography too, for my art exam work. I’m pretty self-concious about doing photography & anything really, to be honest [but that’s beside the point].

My mum seems to have this idea that I’m out getting high or something ridiculous like that. Cheers for the trust, family.

Something wonderfully cheeky

About cycling behind a really dirty van &, when it waits at the lights, writing in the muck on the back :)

When drivers

Realise that cyclists have as much right of way on a road as they do, the world will be a better place.

invisibl replied to your photo: It wasn’t actually that green, mind

Never been to Hartshead Pike. Fantastic picture.

It’s a weird old place. Apparently it was a sweetshop at some stage [seems a bit far to go for sweets] but I don’t really understand what it was originally built for. It’s really a lot bigger than you expect.

The picture was taken from the Mossley side, behind it really. I cycled up on my bike, which has no suspension. No suspension :| There’s the best cycling road ever on the other side though.

Once me & my brother walked up on a Sunday afternoon, in Sunday best, to be met by a bunch of mega professional-looking ramblers dressed like for Duke of Edinburgh. Made us laugh, aha.

I can vouch for the legs of steel & everything else, but mine is most definitely not as quiet as a mouse.

A caravan

Almost flippin’ killed me D: It tried to overtake me while I was cycling & because the caravan is far wider than a car, nearly knocked me off D: Stupid driver.

Potholes

There’s a news article on potholes on Sky News at the moment. It’s talking about how the government is doing so little to solve the issue & how much damage they cause - some cyclist broke their jaw & several fingers after hitting one. Thankfully, I haven’t had that serious a collision due to them, but they have nearly knocked me off my bike which cycling about 20mph on a busy road.

It’s not doing much to encourage people to get out there & exercise on their bikes. Something the government should be promoting.

You would not believe my guttedness. It’s going to cost far more than I can afford to repair that, as the derailleur has totally, irreparably, mashed itself up :(

Buses

I’m going to have to get the bus to college tomorrow, as my bike’s messed up. Sure, the piece needed is in the post [thanks, warranty], but I won’t get it until at least Tuesday, & even then, it might not fix it.

I really detest buses. They’re slow, uncomfortable, expensive, brings me far closer to a chav than I’ve ever like to be & often smell of weed. I’ve just remembered that they’ve increased the fare over the weekend too. Sugar.

Looks like I’ll walk instead. It’s only about fifty minutes anyway.
